The Winfuture site advances a release date for the two new Google smartphones: the Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7a.
It’s no longer a secret to anyone: Google is preparing its own foldable smartphone model under Android. The Mountain View company is preparing to come and hunt on the lands of Samsung and its Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. The whole world holds its breath, as the company has recently been offering devices which, if not not always at the top of the class, show themselves to be innovative in one way or another.
According to his sources from Winfuture website, the Pixel Fold could be on our shelves no later than June 2023. Its release could coincide with that of the Pixel 7a. The critical and commercial success of its predecessor, the Pixel 6a, a “small smartphone that looks like a big one”, means that Google’s future affordable smartphone is eagerly awaited by the general public.
The Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7a could land before the summer
The Pixel Fold, the first smartphone with a foldable screen from Google could therefore land on the Old Continent in the second week of June. The details concerning it are still imprecise, but it is rumored that it will be offered with a storage of 256 GB and that its price will fluctuate around 1700 €. In this price range and at equivalent storage, it would be 100 € more expensive than a Galaxy Z Fold 4. It could be offered in two fairly sober colors, Carbon and Porcelain which, if we trust their name, should be closer to anthracite and beige.

The Pixel 7a should be presented at the same time. This smartphone will certainly be less technically and aesthetically impressive, but it is the one that the greatest number will be able to afford: expectations are therefore high. The catalogs of European retailers concerning it only mention for the moment thata version with 128 GB of storage, but Google has allowed itself a little more fantasy in terms of colors: it will be offered in blue, dark gray and cotton, namely “Arctic Blue”, “Carbon” and “Cotton”. no surprise in terms of price, which should start around 500 €.
