Resale of AirPods is hell because of the Find My app
The integration of AirPods with the Find My app makes life much more difficult for retailers. One of the refurbishers who works for Walmart and other retailers was forced to suspend sales of 30,000 AirPods. This decision was made because of the Locate app. This app, integrated into iPhone and iPad, pushes an error message to be displayed on Locate of the type “AirPods Mismatch” or Synchronization failed. Indeed, the former owner of the headphones sometimes forgets to dissociate his AirPods from his Apple ID.
