In Australia, the price of the RTX 3080 dropped by 35% in just one night, from 2299 AUD to 1499 AUD. This fall follows several consecutive weeks of lower prices for multiple models of graphics cards. It is therefore not impossible that the phenomenon will reverberate in France in the days to come.
It is now every week that the news of graphics cards brings smiles. Indeed, it is the first time in a year and a half that the fall in prices is as long-lasting as it is substantial. Since January 2021, we can’t stop the good news. In just 3 months, graphics cards have seen their prices drop by 25% on eBay. As a result, prices have never even been this low for over a year.
On the other hand, we had not yet seen such a dizzying drop as that of the RTX 3080 in Australia. Last week the ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming OC dropped from AU$2299 to AU$1499, a decrease of 35%. After conversion, this therefore makes a drop from 1541 euros to 1005 euros. As much as we now hope that this discount will also take place in France.
Soon a significant drop in the price of the RTX 3080 in France?
To date, non-OC models of the RTX 3080s display on average at 1089 euros. In other words, our prices are slightly lower than those practiced in Australia. However, this does not mean that players will not be entitled to this size discount in the coming days. Given the current rather promising situation, we have every reason to believe that the coming weeks will hold nice surprises.

Remember, however, that Nvidia’s recommended price for the GeForce RTX 3080 is €759.90. We are therefore still far from having achieved the main objective, that is to say an alignment of the market with the MSRPs. But, slowly but surely, we seem to be heading there quietly. Especially since according to 3DCenter readings, the RTX 3090 is now at its lowest price since August 2021while continuing to decline.
