samsung Vietnam has gone ahead to confirm the existence of the Galaxy A24, the new generation of one of the most outstanding mid-range models of the South Korean giant, also publishing some of its specifications. Despite the fact that the top-of-the-range models are the ones that usually take center stage in the media, when it comes to selling, it is the medium and low ranges that dominate the mass market.
The Samsung Galaxy A24 is a smartphone that uses a screen 6.5-inch Super AMOLED which works at a native resolution of 1,080×2,340 pixels, a refresh rate that aims to be 90Hz and with a notch at the top to support a 13-megapixel front camera. Internally, the SoC used would be a MediaTek Helio G99 accompanied by 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for expandable data via microSD.
As for the rear camera, there would be implemented a Triple setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and f/1.8 aperture; a wide angle of 5 megapixels, aperture of f / 2.2 and angle of 123 degrees; in addition to another 2-megapixel frame and f/2.4 aperture. As features, it has LED flash and HDR and is capable of recording video at a quality of 1080p and 30 frames per second.
In terms of connectivity, it would have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual band, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C 2.0 for data transmission and battery recharging and a 3.5mm jack connector to connect a pair of headphones of a lifetime (or speakers, although it is not usually the usual). The battery would be 5,000mAh and it would be charged via cable at 25 watts.
The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy A24 are 162.1 x 77.6 x 8.3 millimeters and its approximate weight is 195 grams. The base configuration of the smartphone is expected to be priced at around 200 euros and will be available in black, lime green, gradient blue and dark red colors. The market launch dates are not clear, but everything indicates that the device will be released in the coming days or weeks.
As we have already said, despite the fact that the top-of-the-range models (Galaxy S23 is the most recent case within the brand) are the ones that attract media attention, the reality is that they are devices that are excessively excessive for the average user, which generally stays with more modest models, especially for a matter of price. This makes Samsung’s Galaxy A24 a uOne of the most important bets of the South Korean giant in commercial terms and sales volumes.
