The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 should gain autonomy thanks to a larger battery

If the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are undoubtedly the most anticipated Samsung products this year, the Korean giant intends to attract global customers to its high-end tablets. Apple dominates this sector head and shoulders. The Canalys Institute thus estimates that in 2022, the apple brand holds nearly 46% of this market share.

In addition to its new generation of foldable smartphones, Samsung will therefore present the Galaxy Tab S9. It will succeed the Galaxy Tab S8, a touchscreen slate which, in the eyes of many experts, is the new standard for high-end Android tablets. Despite these praises, she will have a lot to do to convince the general public to turn away from the shelves of the Cupertino company. Let’s do a little recap of the latest rumors surrounding it.

The Galaxy Tab S9 will be more efficient and more enduring than its predecessor

For its new premium tablets, Samsung will bet on resistance and durability. Samsung’s Tab S range will benefit for the first time in its history from IP67 certification: the tablets will be completely dust-resistant and can be temporarily submerged. They will also gain stamina. According to a document submitted to the Chinese certification authorities, the Tab S9 battery capacity should be 8160 mAhwhich should result in a gain in autonomy of 5% compared to its predecessor.

This leak only concerns the Galaxy Tab S9 model; the S9 + and S9 Ultra models will enjoy even more generous autonomy, and therefore equipment. All these revelations are obviously to be taken conditionally, especially since Samsung is rather silent on the issue. Will we have to wait until August, or even September 2023, to have confirmation of all this information.
