The Spanish consultancy Ayesa closes the purchase of Ibermática

The Spanish technology and engineering consultancy Ayesa has finally closed the purchase of 100% from another of the main national consultancies: Ibermática. The closure occurred a few months after the announcement of the operation, which took place on August 24, once it had obtained the approval of the CNMC and the Government of Spain.

As a consequence of this sale, Ibermática will be immediately integrated into Ayesa, which will result in a technology company with a large presence in the field of digital services, and sufficient capacity to accompany large companies and multinationals even in their projects of most outstanding technological transformation.

The consulting group that will result from this merger expects to close the year 2022 with revenues of more than 640 million euros. This will place it among the five most prominent players in its segment in the Spanish IT market. In total, the group’s staff at the time of closing the purchase of Ibermática will be made up of more than 11,000 professionals.

This operation is not the first purchase of Ayesa in this year 2022, but the third. The first was the purchase of the Irish engineering company ByrneLooby, and the second that of the Madrid company specializing in M2C data management. In addition, the consultancy made an investment in A&M Capital Europe last January that culminated in Ayesa becoming the entity’s majority shareholder.

At the end of the year and its purchases, Ayesa, which is among the leading Spanish technology consultancies, has become a technology group with high technological capabilities in many areas known as new technologies. Among them are Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, process automation, application development and cloud solutions. In addition, it has penetration in a large number of sectors and with international presence in 23 countries.
