Since the first trailer was released a few weeks ago, we already knew Ahsoka would debut in August, but now we know the exact date when the next live-action Star Wars series will premiere on Disney+. Now, thanks to a new thirty-second teaser, Disney+ has unveiled the launch date: August 23.

The series takes place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian, but features a character that somehow harkens back to the prequels. Former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano first appeared in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon and her animated adventures continued in Star Wars: Rebels before appearing in live action in the second season of The Mandalorian and the first season of Book of Boba Fett.

Other returning cast members include Doctor Who star David Tennant as droid master Huyang, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn. . “Ahsoka” will also star Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, among others.

After announcing that Sabine was in possession of Ezra Bridger’s lightsaber, new official images show the Mandalorian using it in battle. She’ll have no trouble wielding the blade, as Ezra and Kanan Jarrus taught her how to fight effectively with the Darksaber in Star Wars Rebels. But the circumstances of the upcoming duel are still quite mysterious.

Anyway, a late August release is also important, as Lucasfilm plans to release Skeleton Crew, another Disney+ series from the MandoVerse, in 2023. While no release date has been announced, the latest rumors point to a November or December launch, which means Star Wars fans will only have a few weeks to wait between the two series.
