In Spain only 20% of buildings they have one energy certification between A and D, which represents 80% energy inefficiency. In this way, the rehabilitation of housing in this aspect seems fundamental.

Faced with the challenge proposed from Europe to rehabilitate some seven million homes before 2050, solutions such as Kokono arrive. It is a digital solution that focuses on reduce CO2 emissions and minimize energy consumption of the real estate park.

The initiative is especially relevant if we take into account that the demand for housing with good energy efficiency has increased by 30%. According to Kokono, a good rehabilitation of a house allows save up to 75% in energy consumption. Pelayo Muñoz, co-founder of Kokono, points out that, “Our intention is for it to be an autonomous solution so that each owner can analyze their properties independently and, thanks to our digital support, make the best decision in their home renovation project.” “The process is achieved through an algorithm, which simulates different solutions to identify the most relevant rehabilitation”, Add.

Thus, Kokono always seeks to identify the most viable and least expensive rehabilitation project. To do this, through a digital platform, Kokono calculates the impact on energy efficiency and savings, the potential aid that the owner can access and the revaluation of the property once the rehabilitation process is complete.

Solutions such as the one proposed by Kokono are very relevant, especially if one takes into account that the real estate park is responsible for 36% of CO2 emissions and 40% of energy consumption. These figures highlight the need to speed up the energy transition towards a more sustainable and planet-friendly model.
