The V edition of Venture on the Road will look for the best startups outside of Madrid and Barcelona

The V edition of Venture on the Road will land in six Spanish cities to search for the best startups in phase seed. The traveling event is organized by SeedRocket, BStartup of Banco Sabadell, and Wayra, Telefónica’s open innovation hub, to which Google for Startups joins as a collaborator in this edition.

The program returns to Physical format after the last edition in which it had to adapt to a digital format due to the pandemic. In any case, in this edition it maintains its objectives: to find the best dealflow of each region and give the possibility to startups in phase seed to present your project to investors and generate quality networking.

In this edition, Venture on the Road will visit six Spanish cities to locate promising talent and startups at a regional level beyond Madrid and Barcelona, ​​the two benchmark technology hubs in Spain. Specifically, the event will run until Seville, Gijón, Vigo, Bilbao, Murcia and Valladolid.

The call is open through the Venture on the road website and, among the necessary requirements to be able to participate, it stands out that they are companies established, with at least one product or service developed, that are led by an entrepreneur dedicated full time to the project , and focused on an international market.

The winner national of this fifth edition will receive as a prize a package of aid from all partners to consolidate their startup. Specifically, the pack includes:

  • Specialized advice in finance or marketing worth 3,000 euros offered by BStartups.
  • Participation as a guest project in the Entrepreneurs Campus (the 28th edition in November 2022, after the last event of this roadshow) and 3 hours of advice from SeedRocket.
  • Access for 6-12 months to Wayra offices, as well as access fast-track to its sponsored events, contact agenda, communication support, and access to its workshops and trainings.
  • Google for Startups Award: the final winner of this V edition will be part of the Google Cloud digital natives program with up to $ 25,000 in credits valid for 9 months, architecture review and technical follow-up with Google Cloud engineers; as well as preferential access to advanced training in the Google Cloud Platform training programs + access to Google for Startups Campus Madrid for six months.

For their part, the winner of each city may be part of the Google Cloud Platform digital natives program with $ 10,000 in credits valid for nine months and technical follow-up with Google Cloud engineers; as well as preferential access to advanced training from the Google Cloud Platform training programs.

In addition, all the startups selected to participate in this roadshow will go on to the fast track of the selection process of the Entrepreneurs Campus (28th edition), which will be held in November 2022.

The first stop of this fourth edition of Venture on the Road will be at Seville, where a meeting will be held on November 11 thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities of the Junta de Andalucía. The event will be attended by Marcos Alves from the pharmaceutical company LUDA Partners, who is known above all for having founded the restaurant reservation app The Fork before El Tenedor, (acquired in 2014 by Tripadvisor) and for being an investor in startups such as Katoo or Agrosingularity.
