What is Shaerrawedd in The Witcher?
Written by Mike Ostroski and directed by Stephen Surjick (who helmed the first two episodes of Season 2), the Season 3 premiere will feature the ruins of Shaerrawedd, the last remnants of a once magnificent elven palace in the forests of Kaedwen which serves as the setting for an essential scene between Geralt and Ciri in the novel Blood of Elves.
Indeed, the importance of this place is tied to a single conversation between Geralt and Ciri. Showrunner Lauren Hissrich also explained that it is a ” great way to start explaining Ciri’s lineage and all the things that will happen to her that surface in The Time of Contempt “.
