their design is revealed before its time

After the first technical details, the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are starting to show themselves. The leaker OnLeaks, in partnership with Smartprix, shares the first 3D renderings of Google’s future high-end smartphone. To appreciate the design of the Pixel 7 Pro, you have to like that of its predecessor and the choices made by the manufacturer. The current Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have an atypical design with a protruding photo block.

The future model of the range will keep this signature to house its triple photo module. We should find a wide-angle sensor, an ultra wide-angle and a periscopic telephoto lens. On the front, the front camera should still sit in a centered punch at the top of the OLED display. A 6.7 or 6.8 inch panel with a refresh rate is expected.

An unsurprising approach for the Pixel 7 Pro which will challenge the Galaxy S22 and iPhone 14 in the coming months. We also expect to find stereo speakers and a USB-C port for charging. Dimensions of 163 x 76.6 x 8.7 are also mentioned for the Pixel 7 Pro; i.e. a format close to that of the Google Pixel 6 Pro (163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm).

The Google Pixel 7 shouldn’t take any chances either

On Twitter, another leaker called @XLeaks7 showed off a render of the Google Pixel 7 with ChooseBestTech. Like its big brother, this smartphone should retain the design of the current Pixel 6. The famous bar hosting the photo equipment is present on the back of the device, but this model would be slightly smaller. Dimensions of 155.6 x 73.1 x 8.7 mm are planned, compared to 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm for the Pixel 6. Finally, the most notable change would concern the mmWave 5G antenna.

Based on these renderings, we can see that Google wants to play the continuity card. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro made an impression last year and the option chosen by the manufacturer seems logical. We also expect the American firm to confirm by improving its Tensor chip to offer a more efficient SoC. For the time being, Google has not mentioned the existence of this cuvée which should not be formalized before the fall of 2022.

Until then, the manufacturer is expected to lift the veil on a more affordable Pixel 6a. Less high-end than the Pixel 6, this smartphone must also be more affordable. We could discover it as early as May, in the company of the Pixel Watch.
