These are all the DTT channels that you can see in Spain in 2022

Terrestrial Digital Television (DTT) is the result of the application of digital technology to the television signal, to then transmit it by means of terrestrial hertzian waves. That is, they are transmitted through the atmosphere without the need for cable or satellite and are received by means of conventional UHF antennas. DTT replaced Terrestrial Analog Television, which was the one that was being received until now in the majority of Spanish homes. Although the change was made in stages, On April 3, 2010, the so-called Analog Blackout occurred.that is, the cessation of broadcasts in analog technology.

Why was analog television changed by DTT? What are its advantages compared to the analog format? Over the years we have realized that the change to digital terrestrial television was necessary. This offers us better image and sound quality, more channels and more services. Even without being the panacea, the improvement in image and sound quality compared to analog television is obvious. Now we can have channels in HD format and even 4K UHD channels are starting to arrive.

We have also gained in services, since we now have a much more complete electronic programming guide, interactive services or the possibility of listening to content in several languages, among other things. And of course, we have also gained in number of channels. Do you remember when there was only TVE? Surely the vast majority of you do not remember, but years ago we did not have the large number of television channels that we have now.

So, since there are many channels that we have available, we have thought of making a compilation of all of them. This way you can check if you are enjoying all the channels offered by DTT in Spain. Are you missing any? Maybe it’s time to retune your TV. Although there are many channels, in reality the companies that carry them are not that many, so we are going to organize them by communication groups.
