Valve has shared a list with the 20 most played titles on the Steam Decka portable console that, as many of our readers know, has succeeded where the Steam Machines failed, and has become one of the most popular and desired systems of the moment.
Although it has a modest hardware configuration, which is normal since it is a portable console, is capable of delivering good performance even in demanding triple-A games thanks to the resolution of its screen (800p), which is quite well balanced in relation to the power of its GPU. This is critical, as a 1080p panel would have been too much.
This becomes clear when we look at the list of the 20 most played titles on the Steam Deck games of the caliber of Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Elden Ring. All the titles that are included in this list work well on Valve’s portable console, but we must take into account that in the most demanding ones it is necessary to adjust the graphic quality and that it is advisable to resort to FSR 2 to improve fluidity a little more.
The 20 most played titles on the Steam Deck
- Hogwarts Legacy.
- Elden Ring.
- Stardew Valley.
- Vampire Survivors.
- Octopath Traveler II.
- Red Dead Redemption 2.
- Grand Theft Auto V.
- Dead Cells.
- Cyberpunk 2077.
- Sprout.
- Hades.
- The Witcher 3.
- Skyrim: Special Edition.
- The Binding of Isaac.
- Monster Hunter Rise.
- Fallout 4.
- Persona 5 Royal.
- Slay the Spire.
- No Man’s Sky.
- resident evil 4.
It’s curious that Resident Evil 4 is played more than Resident Evil 4 Remake, but I imagine this will change in the coming weeks, since the remake can be played without problems on the Steam Deck, and is able to offer quite good performance on 800p with medium-low quality, textures on high (1 GB) and FSR 2 activated in balanced mode.
We can configure it with a higher quality level and maintain acceptable FPS averages (in the range of 30 frames per second), but this is not recommended because in the end we find sections where the action is quite fast, and in which Going above 40 FPS greatly improves the overall experience and responsiveness.
I remind you that, at the time of writing this article, 75% of the most popular games are compatible with the Steam Deckanother clear example of the interest that this console has generated since its launch.
