The Marvel characters that have already passed through our screens are so many that it is difficult to keep count. Indeed, we are talking about British actress Gemma Chan, who has played two different roles at the MCU.
Probably, many of us have forgotten that Chan first appeared in the Cinematic Universe participating in the movie Captain Marvel (2019).
There he makes minerva character. Somewhat different from the one in the comics, this version is a member of the Starforce team commanded by Yon-Rogg (Jude Law). Minn-erva is an elite marksman, and like a bunch of trolls in her mom’s basements, she feels a strong hostility toward her partner Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel.
When it ends up on Earth, Minn-Erva accompanies Starforce to the planet to rescue her, where they discover a group of Skrull refugees and attempt to kill them.
In the movie, Minn-erva suffers a tragic fate when she is shot down by Maria RambeauDanvers’s best friend.

Gemma Chan is resurrected as Sersi in Eternals
the same actress would play another character in the movie Eternals (2021) and the truth is that it is not hidden or secondary. In fact, plays Sersi, who ends up becoming the leader of the Eternals on earth.
As the protector of humans, she will face her destiny and try to successfully stop the Emergence and the birth of a Celestial, one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.
In fact, if more parts of Eternals or these begin to appear in other UCM movies, Chan will have a leading role again and we assume that the occasional awkward moment, when he shares the screen with Carol Danvers.
