Now that everything seemed to return to a certain normality, we received one of those news that any Marvel fan wishes they did not hear: the company has decided together with Disney delay the release of six MCU movies. But it is not the only thing, other projects are directly canceled and some far from the world of superheroes will also arrive later.
Marvel delays release of six movies
Little by little we are recovering a certain normality in our day to day. After many months of pandemic, it is now when it seems that it is returning to those scenarios where the capacity of cinemas, theaters, football stadiums and other places where cultural and sporting events are held are not limited in terms of the number of people who can access .
However, despite this good news, not everything always happens as one would wish. Disney and Marvel have had to make some decisions on the premieres of the UCM that had been programmed as well as other titles in which the mouse company is working. What does this mean? Well what some movies change their release date and others directly disappear as if Thanos had made his familiar finger snap.
To begin with, we have six Marvel titles changed their date. Among these films will be the second part of Doctor Strange, the new Thor, also the continuation of Black Panther, The Marvel or Ant-Man and the Wasp. Of course, inside the bad is the best, because worse fortune they have had a feature film and two films that have been directly canceled. Likewise, other Disney projects, such as the fifth installment of Indiana Jones, also change their date.
The only positive is that the premiere of the latest Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland and the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy do seem to continue to maintain the original release dates. Like that of Eternals, which we will see shortly.
New Marvel and Disney calendar
With so much change of date, you may not be clear about how the calendar looks. So quickly and schematically you can see what are the new dates of these Marvel and Disney movies.
- Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness the next one will be released May 5, 2022 and not on March 25 as planned
- Thor: Love and Thunder go to July 8 of 2022, when it had initially been set for June 6 of that year
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever the November 11th 2022 and not August 7
- The marvels move the release date to February 17, 2023. The initial was November 11, 2022
- Ant-Man and the Avista: Quantumania go to July 28, 2023
- The fifth film of Indiana Jones now the June 30, 2023
So far all that is known, because then there is other projects without defined titles yet they will also change their date on the calendar or directly disappear. For example, a Marvel Studios project will go from October 11 to November 3, 2023, and two Marvel Studios films that were to be released in July and October 2023 are missing.
Finally, a live-action movie plus another without a title either of which the only thing that is known is that it was going to be set in the 20th century and that they would not be related to Marvel a priori are also canceled for now.
