Super Mario The Movie recreated with Nintendo 64 graphics

Now that we were able to see a fairly complete trailer for the adventure that awaits us in the Super Mario movie, many fans continue to squeeze the coconut to the fullest to continue taking advantage of the few minutes that we have been able to see of Super Mario Bros. The Movie. How about a version based on the trailer but with Nintendo 64 graphics?

A very polygonal movie

Super Mario The Movie recreated with Nintendo 64 graphics

As you can see below, the King Bob Gaming YouTube channel has shared a couple of videos in which you can enjoy a peculiar recreation of the official trailer of the film from the perspective of the graphic engine of Mario 64 from Nintendo 64. As you will surely remember, the platform game that launched Nintendo’s 64-bit generation marked a before and after in the world of videogames, and for many it is still one of the best Mario ever made. Therefore, perhaps this tribute.

The video shows with great accuracy the shots and sequences that can be seen in the trailer, with the peculiarity that they have been recreated with models, polygons and textures from the original Nintendo 64 game. Thus, the final appearance is completely different visually from the film, but it is still curious how it looks with the old graphics engine, since everything fits perfectly.

Simple but with a lot of work

The polygonal aspect of the video may seem simple and of little artistic weight to many, but the truth is that its creator has paid a lot of attention to detail. All the scenes coincide in the camera plane, the movements and the sounds (including dialogues), so the final result is quite impressive.

It is obvious that the polygons do not give much more, but you cannot deny that the final result is at least curious. At 2 minutes and 14 seconds long, the video completely covers the length of the trailer, so you can tell it’s directly the version of the film on Nintendo 64. Will its creator dare to make the entire film when it is released? That will require a lot of time on your part, but we are very afraid that Nintendo was not going to allow something like this to come to light. And it is that we already know how the big N spends it when someone touches its little creatures.
