As revealed just a couple of days ago, Tiger King will have a second season arriving on Netflix on November 17th. Now, thanks to the TUDUM event, we are able to take a first look at Tiger King 2 and, as explained by the first teaser trailer, it seems that “we have only scratched the surface”.
Here is the first teaser trailer of Tiger King 2, which confirms the release date on Netflix of the new episodes:
Tiger King 2 will debut this year for all subscribers to California’s video on demand platform, as part of a series of documentaries focusing on crimes and scams of various kinds.
The first season focused on the deeply interconnected microcosm of big cat conservationists, such as Carole Baskin, owner of the Big Cat Rescue, and collectors such as Joe Exotic, whom Baskin had accused of abuse and exploitation.
The rivalry between these two characters, however, took a dark turn when Joe Exotic was involved in a conspiracy murder plot, and Baskin’s wealthy ex-husband mysteriously disappeared from circulation leaving everything to the activist.
We’re not sure what to expect from Tiger King 2, but Joe Exotic is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence for crimes against his animals, as well as the role he played in a murder plot against Baskin.
The directors of the original series, Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, are back to direct and produce Tiger King 2.
