And in reality it is something quite understandable, since it not only connects in a very direct way with its model of communication and content consumption, but also offers a richness and variety of the same much wider than it seems when only it is known. service from outside.
In my case, as a very occasional user of TikTok, Yes, I have found some videos that have caught my attention. Some I have shared with other people, others I have added to my favorites list and, in quite a few cases, I have simply enjoyed them in the moment and then let them pass. The problem, and this is why I bet we’ve gotten through the vast majority of it, is that sometimes we see something, and hours, days, or even weeks later, we’d like to get it back for some reason. And of course, to do this we must remember the author, the dates, and explore the publication history of that person, trusting that we will be able to find the message, video or type of content. AND in the end, on many occasions, the search is fruitless. Now, however, it appears that TikTok is working on a potential fix.
And it is that, as we can read in Yahoo! Finance, TikTok is already testing a history function, with which we could review a list of videos that we have previously seen on the service. At the moment, as we can read in said publication, the history would only have reached a small number of users, probably in search of feedback from them on the usefulness and operation of the history.
It seems, at least a priori, a very interesting function. And let’s remember that other video-based services, such as YouTube, have already offered a history function for a long time. Now, one of the doubts about its implementation in TikTok it happens to know if the history will be limited to a certain time range or to a number of videos or, on the contrary, if once it is active, a user will be able to take as many steps back as necessary to search for a video seen months ago. And it is that, if there are no limitations, the history can end up being enormous, but its usefulness will also grow substantially.
