Filming of the new movie of the Transformers saga, Transformers: The Awakening, they officially ended a short time ago and everything seemed to proceed quickly for the appointment of June 24, 2022, the release date of the film in cinemas.
That was until a few hours ago, when Paramount Pictures announced it slippage of one year not only the release date of the new Transformers film, but also that of Star Trek.
The new release date of Transformers: The Awakening
The study revealed that while there appears to have been no particular problems with the production, the new release date of the seventh Transformers movie (if we also count the Bumblebee spin-off) has now been postponed to. June 9, 2023.
The film, directed by Steven Caple Jr., is now in post-production, after a long period of filming involving the cast of Anthony Ramos, Dominiquie Fishback, Luna Lauren Valez, Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman.
The new Star Trek release date
Transformers: The AwakeningHowever, as we said, it is not the only film whose premiere has been postponed by Pramount.
The new Star Trek movie, the one directed by director Matt Shakman, has also undergone a change of release date. Initially expected to be on June 9, 2023, the film will now not see the big screen until December 22, 2023 (the same date the mysterious new yet-unnamed Star Wars movie will debut).
