Mid-range benchmarks for gaming mice, the G502 has been around for over 10 years. Logitech keeps updating it and the G502 Hero is the latest iteration in the family. You don’t change a winning team and therefore, unsurprisingly, the design hasn’t changed much. We have a design that combines flowing, sharper lines with a subtle RGB backlighting as a bonus.
We are facing a generously curved mouse, with dimensions of 132 x 75 x 40 mm. A perfect product for players who have big hands and find it difficult to find a suitable fit. On the weight side, it displays 121 g on the scale. If you want to feel it better in your hand, Logitech provides a set of 3.6 g weights to install, if necessary, in the mouse to weigh it down.
It offers 11 very well positioned buttons. Only the two left side buttons are really my place and ultimately not very usable. The wheel is clickable and offers a free scrolling mode and another notched one. Note that the supplied USB cable is 2m in length, so you shouldn’t feel limited by the cable in your movements.
The Logitech G502 Hero has the in-house optical sensor, the Logitech, the Hero 16K. This is the main innovation brought by this model of G502.
