Many more, in fact, and it is if the once famous social network of 140 characters, now of 280 characters, was planning a major leap in this limitation feature, what is now bordering on madness… Or maybe not, but taking into account how the new boss spends it, one wonders how much reality this has.
As we collected in the news linked above, Elon Musk had confirmed a change in the limitations of tweets: from 280 to 1,000 charactersa jump that as we pointed out in that news item, was really remarkable for how it could change the idiosyncrasy of Twitter, known for its ‘telegrammic’ approach, in reference to the old telegrams and the importance of condensing the message as much as possible.
It is a fact, however, that everything has its limits and those of transmitting certain messages on the little bird’s platform are not minor, to the point of having popularized the creation of threads -sequences of messages from the same author- to tell any story that goes beyond a slightly long sentence. What’s more, that was the first aspect they said they were working on on Twitter.
However, it seems that facilitating the creation of threads is not an ideal solution, or it is not for all cases and the increase in the character limit is still on the table, but quadrupling the bet. In other words, we are no longer talking about going from 280 to 1,000 characters, but from 280 to 4,000 characters nothing less.

This has been confirmed by Elon Musk in response to a user’s question, as he has done so many times before. But since they take so long to implement these changes, the question arises. Nor would it be the first time that the richest man in the world says things that are not true. However, on this occasion many of the experts on Twitter consider it plausible.
There are many proposals, yes, but this 4,000-character thing is bordering on insane… taking into account the history and forms of Twitter, of course. It will be necessary to see it when it is applied, if it is to be applied. It was already explained that the billet would not be seen as it is, but the view of 280 characters would be respected and a button would be added to expand the rest of the message.

There you will see an example of what was the first proposal, the one with a thousand characters… and multiply it by four. I can tell you in advance that it gives you to write a note as long as this and much more than this, depending on the words chosen.
Now the only thing missing is for some of what Musk said to materialize, and for the moment only Twitter Blue seems to be a priority, as is obvious, both due to the red numbers of the social network, and due to the interest of its new owner in Reverse the situation. Will it do it without any more problems? The trend warns of the opposite.
