Twitter Blue arrives in Spain

Since Elon Musk’s arrival on Twitter, Twitter Blue has been part of his plans to improve the monetization of the social network. After a few twists and turns regarding its price, and the initial problems with the automatic granting of the verified (what we could call “verified without verifying”) that made clear how badly this matter had been managed from the beginning, for a few months now the waters seem to have returned to normal, so it seems that the subscription modality of the social network is working properly. Just a few days ago, in fact, we told you that its users will be the first (and who knows if the only ones) to be able to post tweets of up to 4,000 characters.

Both with its previous address and with the current one, the social network seemed and seems to be clear that Twitter Blue can become one of the main ways of monetizing the social network but, despite this, until now the service has barely expanded internationally. Up to now available in only five countries, Twitter has been neglecting an international demand that, despite not being excessively high, is large enough to have acted a little more quickly.

However, it seems that steps are finally being taken in this direction and, as we can see if we access the social network, either through the Android and iOS apps or its web client, and more directly if we access to this address, Twitter already allows you to hire Twitter Blue in Spainas well as other countries in Europe, Asia and South America.

Twitter Blue arrives in Spain

Specifically, the European countries that can already access Twitter Blue are, alphabetically, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. In all five, these are Twitter Blue rates:

Monthly fee when contracting from Android or iOS: 11 euros.

Monthly fee when contracting from the web: 8 euros.

Annual quota: 84 euros.

For their part, the Asian countries to which the service reaches are Saudi Arabia, India and Indonesia, while in South America, for the moment the subscription modality will only be available in Brazil. However, this movement It seems that Twitter has decided to step on the accelerator with its international expansion, so we can expect new announcements in this regard to be made throughout this year.

Regarding the advantages that Twitter Blue provides with respect to free accounts of the social network, they are the following:

  • Verified account mark for those users who have associated their mobile number with the Twitter account.
  • Access to the post editing function once posted.
  • Possibility of publishing messages of up to 4,000 characters.
  • 50% less advertising.
  • Uploading longer, high-resolution videos (up to 1080p)
  • Early access to new features

In addition, as we can read on the information page, another measure that was also announced will soon be implemented, and that will give Priority among user responses to those that come from Twitter Blue accounts. On the other hand, it is not mentioned in the list, but we can understand that it also includes the possibility, present in the subscription mode since its inception, to organize the items saved in folders.

In my personal case, and although some of the exclusive features of Twitter Blue seem interesting to me, subscribing is not worth it (at least today), but it is something strictly personal and, moreover, it can change over time. What do you think? Do you find what it offers interesting? Do you consider subscribing? And if this is your case, what has encouraged you the most to do it?
