A woman was found dead inside a crashed car with a dog on a highway near the northern California coast. Authorities reported Wednesday night that they believe it is a 32-year-old Reno resident who has been missing since last month.
The family of Courtney bryan reported his disappearance, after failing to return from a planned trip with his dog to Hun Hot Springs in Redding, California. For what is believed that the recent discovery of the body and the dog, is about the missing woman.
According to officials, a hiker contacted the California Highway Patrol after encountering a crashed vehicle with a lifeless woman and dog along a steep embankment on Highway 101 in the county. from Del Norte. The authorities indicated that the woman died as a result of the car accident.
Authorities confirmed that the 2004 Subaru Legacy that was crashed was Bryan’s vehicle. “A person believed to be Courtney Bryan was found inside the vehicle killed by the apparent vehicle accident and a dead dog was also found at the crash site,” Reno police said. Formal identification is pending at the Del Norte County Coroner’s Office.
Family members said phone records indicated that Bryan last made phone calls and texted on September 23 from Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
