VASS exceeds 200 million turnover and grows 58% in 2021

Although it has been two years since the crisis caused by the coronavirus brought digitization to the fore, it was in 2021 that it became a key element for economic recovery. As a leading company in digital solutions, VASS has continued to take advantage of the opportunities generated by this new business context and economic and, taking into account all the acquisitions carried out last year, it has managed to close the 2021 financial year with 58% more turnover to reach 205 million euros, an organic growth of 15%.

“This enormous growth is just the first step on our way to VASS 400, our ambitious strategic plan to become a digital champion with a strong international presence,” says Fco. Javier Latasa, president of VASS, who also highlighted that “these figures demonstrate the solidity of our balance sheet during the last financial year and consolidate us as one of the most stable companies in the market”.

Since One Equity Partners (OEP) became a majority shareholder in 2020 as a strategic partner, VASS has faced the challenge of reaching a turnover of 400 million in 2025 and becoming the leading group in the market.

On its way to achieving this goal, VASS acquired three companies in 2021. Firstly, Comunytek, a company specialized in advanced systems and innovative products focused on wholesale banking and capital markets with more than 20 years of experience. Then it was done with Ecenta AG, German consulting company specialized in Customer Experience solutions on SAP CX technology (Sales, Marketing and Commerce) and whose main market is the United States. and later with CRI Groupa company that has its headquarters in Luxembourg and is specialized in cybersecurity and digitization, with more than 300 employees and close to 30 million euros in turnover.

In addition to these acquisitions, VASS has also created T4S Advance Solutionswhose business plan estimates that it will invoice 30 million euros in Spain in 2023 and whose objective is to lead the SAP consulting market in the coming years.

Although the integration of these new companies with a new global operating model has been one of the great challenges of 2021 for VASS, these acquisitions do nothing more than significantly increase the international presence of the group and its value proposition.

The VASS workforce -present in 20 countries with a broad ecosystem of companies made up of VASS, NATEEVO, Serbatic, vdSHOP, and T4S, in addition to the acquired firms- has also grown notably, going from 2,186 employees to 3,410 workers, almost 56% more. But VASS has not only stood out in terms of employability, but also in the training of its staff. Thus, last year marked two years since the entry into force of VASS@Revolution, whose objective is to involve employees in the company’s strategic expansion plan through conciliation policies and the establishment of collaborative work models.

With these figures, Grupo VASS expects to close this year with a turnover of around €250 millionwithout taking into account the acquisitions that may be carried out in 2022.
