The French e-commerce platform internationalizes its ‘Innovation Lab’, until now located only in Parisopening a campus in the Barcelona, which will increase the activities of the innovation department and attract more young talent.
The new Innovation Lab seeks to create value through machine learning projects, augmented reality, logistics and search systems. Actions with a direct impact on the business that will strengthen the company’s position as a leader in flash sales.

Promoting technological training and hiring young people
The new ‘Innovation Lab’ in Barcelona will be made up of interns who will work in groups of 3 or 4, advised by Veepee’s senior R&D profiles and in direct collaboration with various departments of the company. “It is a complementary training for them to develop technological skills working on very specific projects with a direct impact on the business”, explains Jean Philippe.
The e-commerce platform plans to retain talent through internal hiring, once the internships are completed, as it has done in France. This way you can expand positions of backend developer, full stack developer and SER engineer, among others. “The launch of this initiative will help us become a benchmark in attracting young talent, favoring the diversity of our team”.
The ‘Innovation Lab’ was created in 2017 in Paris in collaboration with the École 42 computer programming school. Since then, it has had the participation of 90 students from different countries and in projects of all kinds -machine learning, augmented reality, open innovation, logistics, 3D, robotics, search systems, chatbot.
