Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Sony’s Next Up
Before the third part of Spider-Man comes into our lives, Sony has another film belonging to the Spider-Man universe. We refer, of course, to Venom: Let There Be Carnage (in Spain it has been translated as Venom: There will be carnage), second installment related to this particular antihero from Marvel comics.
In this new proposal we will see how the journalist’s life continues Eddie brock, which seems to have gotten used to being the host of our particular symbiote. During the plot he will have to deal with Carnage, the alter ego of the serial killer Cletus Kasady, who has also managed to be a guest and thus acquire dangerous powers.
In addition to having again Tom hardy as the protagonist and with Michelle Williams as Anne, we will see Woody Harrelson, who plays Cletus – we already saw him in the post-credit scene of the first part – and Naomi Harris, who will play Scream.
Like many other movies, Venom: There will be carnage suffered the blow of the pandemic, causing its delay. Since then it has been one of the titles that has danced the most on the calendar (it has been postponed several times) and now it is moving again although, to everyone’s surprise, it does so in the opposite direction, to advance its premiere. Why this sudden change?
A hopeful preview
As we pointed out, the second part of Venom is one of the films that has given the most laps on the agenda. Scheduled at first in October 2020, it has seen how it has been delayed several times until it is postponed for a year later. The last date we had set was October 15 (“it was coming” from September), but even this day was “in the air”, according to sources close to Sony, because those responsible did not quite trust the box office.
Now everything has changed and the film advances the tape two weeks, announcing its new date for October 1. The fault of this is neither more nor less than Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings of Marvel, whose collection is being so incredibly good that has encouraged Sony to move again.
At the moment, the new day is officially set in the US while in Spain we have found cinemas in which it has moved to day 8 while in others it follows the 15th. We imagine that it will be a matter of nothing that this disparity is updated and we can also enjoy the adventures of this particular character in less than a month.
