
Vivo Pad is a mid-range tablet that the Chinese manufacturer has introduced at the same presentation event as the Vivo X Fold folding smartphone. Both are the first of the brand in their respective markets.
Live Pad
An interesting tablet that is based on a multi-touch OLED screen of 11 inches, with native 2K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Your engine is a Snapdragon 870, an 8-core ARM with Adreno 650 GPU which should suffice for this tablet. It includes 8 Gbytes of RAM and storage options of 128 and 256 Gbytes.
The Vivo Pad includes a dual sensor rear camera (13MP main + 8MP ultra wide angle) and an 8MP front camera. It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and NFC, has four speakers, Dolby Sound support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Your battery has a capacity of 8,040mAh and supports 44W fast charging via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port for power and data. Thin and light, it is 6.55mm thick and weighs just 498 grams. Vivo sells original accessories with the tablet to increase its modes of use, a cover with keyboard and tilt support, and a digital pen compatible with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
Vivo’s tablet, the first of this brand, pre-installs Android 11 along with Vivo’s own user interface, OriginOS. It will be available in China from this week and is expected to reach the international market soon. It is sold in two versions with the following prices:
- Vivo Pad with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity: 2,499 yuan (392 dollars to change)
- Vivo Pad with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage capacity: 2,999 yuan (471 dollars in exchange)
Vivo X Fold
Vivo has presented its first folding mobile at the same event. And it is as we had anticipated. In a book-like design reminiscent of the Galaxy Fold3, the best-selling in its sector. The main AMOLED screen has a size of 8 inches when unfolded, with a native resolution of 2200 x 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The secondary screen has a diagonal of 6.53 inches and allows you to use the phone without opening it. Under both screens include fingerprint sensors.
The terminal will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 as the main engine. It is accompanied by up to 12 Gbytes of LPDDR5 and up to 512 Gbytes of UFS 5.1 for storage to offer great performance, according to previous tests. The terminal mounts an outstanding camera system, with a quad sensor with Zeiss optics, a 50MP main one, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12MP “portrait” camera and another with a 5MP periscope zoom. The phone also has two 16MP selfie cameras, one internal and one external.
It mounts a 4,600 mAh battery with 66-watt fast wired and 50-watt wireless charging, and supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and of course 5G mobile broadband networks. Regarding prices, They are somewhat lower than what was being handled.
This segment is maturing to get closer to the general public. Vivo will sell its foldable in China in two versions:
- With 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage capacity: 8,999 yuan (1,400 dollars to change)
- With 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage capacity: 9,999 yuan (1,570 dollars in exchange)
