Vivo announced yesterday its V23 and V23 Pro, the latest in a range particularly popular in Asia.
While CES 2022 is in full swing, and the market is crumbling under announcements, the Chinese Vivo took advantage of the week to announce its new V23 and V24 Pro smartphones. The latest in a series particularly popular in India, the V range now has a particularly stunning new Sunshine Gold case, capable of changing color when exposed to sunlight.
Two years of development were necessary for the manufacturer to develop the material necessary for this chameleon coating. Initially golden, the Vivo V23 will turn blue-green outdoors, before then regaining its original color.

Another interesting feature about the Vivo V23, the notch of the screen which manages to house a 50 + 8 Mpx dual selfie camera, all in a compact module. At the rear, the Vivo V23 Pro will benefit from a main camera of 108 Mpx, while the classic V23 will have to be satisfied with a resolution of 64 Mpx. These two cameras will be supplemented by an ultra-wide-angle 8 Mpx sensor, and a 2 Mpx macro.
On the front, the smartphone will sport a beautiful OLED panel up to 6.56 inches (6.44 inches for the V23) at 1080p, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. While the classic model will offer a flat screen, the edges of the V23 will be slightly curved. Finally, the main difference between the two versions will lie in their processors: Médiatek Dimensity 920 for the V23, against Médiatek Dimensity 1200 for the V23 Pro.
Reserved for the Asian market?
Very popular in Asia, the newborns in the V range will be available initially in India, starting at INR 29,990 (approx. € 356) for the V23 8 + 128 GB. The V23 Pro model will be offered from 38 990 INR (around 463 €), in its 8 + 128 GB configuration. A very high-end version will be offered at 43 990 INR (523 €) in 12 + 256 GB. Marketed very soon in several Asian countries, such as Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, Europe should for its part see the arrival of the V23 “Over the next few months” promises the brand.
