The cloud service provider OVHcloud has announced the launch of VMware on OVHclouda reorganization of the VMware product portfolio in the company’s Hosted Private Cloud environment. This new line of products has been designed to provide customers with greater flexibility, security and cost control. The VMware on VHcloud family consists of four products: Managed VMware vSphere, Managed VMware vSphere Hyperconverged Storage, Managed VMware vSphere Network Security, and Managed VMware vSphere Software-Defined Datacenter.
VMware on VHcloud allows you to view applications in the cloud without reengineering, reducing performance time and risks. It also gives the possibility of migrating infrastructures in “lift & shift” type scenarios. It is ready for VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid deployment, making it easy to manage Kubernetes clusters and evolve applications to a cloud-native model.
VMware NSX-T is available in a selection of these products, which is responsible for streamlining application security management regardless of its context, whether in a virtual machine or in a container. This also includes the ability to leverage a micro-segmentation strategy to reduce lateral movement attacks such as ransomware.
The new VMware on OVHcloud offering benefits from OVHcloud’s expertise in infrastructure, offering a cloud in environmentally friendly data centers. This solution is integrated with other OVHcloud services via vRack Private Network, meets sovereignty requirements, and is labeled VMware Sovereign Cloud Provider. In addition, it has other certifications, such as HDS and PCI-DSS, and the SecNumCloud qualification of the French National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI).
