VOD News brings you the best releases of the week on Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+… And it’s not a week to rave about. We begin the review one more week with what Netflix brings, which is quite a lot as far as exclusives are concerned, although it is the usual: a lot of trash. We therefore highlight spider-head and a new anime series, with a nothing new story.

spider-head is Netflix’s biggest release for a couple of reasons, basically: it’s Joseph Kosinski’s new movie (TRON: Legacy, oblivion), a director who has been hitting theaters in recent weeks with Top Gun: Maverick; as is the new film by Chris Hemsworth, who will not be long before we see him dressed as the Marvelian god of thunder in Thor: Love and Thunder. So far the two values of spider-head.
Three values if you want, since one of the main characters of spider-head is Miles Teller, known among others for roles in the franchise Divergent or in the last two movies that Marvel made of fantastic four, where he played a young Reed Richards. He also goes out in Top Gun: Maverick, Since we are. But let’s focus on spider-head: what is it about? Why is it a discard? As always, it all depends on the glass with which you look.

We changed the third, but not too much, with Sprigan, and it is that Netflix exclusively premieres the serialized adaptation of this anime classic. All in all, the exclusive HBO Max release we’re highlighting is the father of the bridea new adaptation of the novel that was already adapted in the mid-nineties, with Steve Martin as father of the brideand now repeats the formula in a Latin key and, apparently, without achieving the previous level, but without detracting too much either, with Andy García (The Untouchables, The Godfather) as the axis of the story.
