WandaVision, Disney+’s first Marvel series, is one of the platform’s biggest hits in 2021. The series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, respectively in the roles of Scarlet Witch and Vision, met with colossal critical acclaim. Thanks to WandaVision, Disney+ won its first Emmy Award.

Despite the box of the first season, which only had 6 episodes, Marvel Studios does not seem eager to produce a second season. From the launch of the series, the American studio presented the show as a “one shot”, with a well-defined beginning and end. This is the case with several Marvel contents, like Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Hawkeye.

Wanda will continue her adventures in the cinema

More than a year after the season premiere, Marvel apparently hasn’t changed its mind. According to Mohamed Diab, one of the directors of Disney +’s next Marvel series, Moon Knight, the studios still do not intend to start work on a second season.

“It’s like a crazy world. Even with the hit shows, like WandaVision, they don’t do the second season. She jumped into a movie, maybe she will come back or not. I do not know. And it’s exciting”explains Mohamed Diab in an interview with our colleagues from SFX magazine.

However, the Scarlet Witch will soon be on the front of the stage. After facing her demons, and losing loved ones, Wanda Maximoff will be back in Doctor Strange 2, Multiverse of Madness. The character appeared at length in the film’s trailer, alongside the Sorcerer Supreme played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
