WandaVision: The final post credit scene has been changed to link to Doctor Strange 2

On tiptoe, i Marvel Studios seem to have changed some details of the WandaVision’s final post credit scene, one of the two final sequences of the show whose meaning we had analyzed in depth in our article.

The part where we are shown the pleasant mountain location where Wanda retreated after breaking the spell of Agatha Harkness that kept the people of Westview imprisoned, has undergone some visual and sound changes to include what should be a direct link to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, film in which we will see the return of Elizabeth Olsen and hers Scarlet Witch.

Here’s how WandaVision’s final post credit scene has changed

In the images you find in the following Tweet, comparing the details circled in green, the modified version shows more trees in the mountains and, in general, the imperceptible differences in the landscape.

The red circle, on the other hand, is the detail that most piqued the imagination of the fans, with a shadow that led to the theory of the presence of Doctor Strange, a cameo of which the same Kevin Feige admitted existence before he was permanently banned from WandaVision.

The connection between WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2

However, the link with the second film dedicated to the Sorcerer Supreme of Benedict Cumberbatch it is evident, since in this scene you can now hear the theme of the Doctor Strange soundtrack signed by the composer Michael Giacchino.

In addition to the “musical” cameo, there are a couple of hypotheses related to that sort of aura highlighted on the crest of the mountain: it could be the same Doctor Strange who reaches Scarlet Witch in the cabin where she took refuge, perhaps to help her understand and better control his new powers, or there is a possibility that it is White Vision.

Net of all these speculations which, however, excluding the musical theme, should also take into account the hypothesis of a simple change of framing of the final post credit scene of WandaVision, to have concrete answers and understand if these changes were actually made to create a connection with Doctor Strange 2, we will have to wait for the arrival in theaters of the film which is scheduled for March 25, 2022.
