Warner sets a date for the premiere in rental and purchase format of Matrix Resurrections

One of the expected premieres of hbo max for the month of February in Spain was, without a doubt, the fourth installment of the saga of Matrix, and it is that, while in most countries it has already been released in digital format, in Spain we still had no news about when we could see it outside the big screen. But we were disappointed to see that the catalog of February releases did not include ‘Matrix Resurrections‘. From then on the doubts increased and we all thought of other options. That’s why Warner has decided to announce the release date of this fourth installment and the way to see it since we will not be able to access it for free from HBO Max.

So how can we enjoy ‘Matrix Resurrections‘ out of the cinema? What platform will host this film? Will it be free or will there finally be a rental option as it was proposed a few days ago?

‘Matrix Resurrections’ will be available for rent or purchase

As announced, ‘Matrix Resurrections’ will be available both in PEST format (Premium Electronic Sell-Through, that is, for sale), as well as in PVOD (Premium Video on Demand, that is, for rent on demand) next february 5, so if you couldn’t go to the cinema to see this fourth installment, now you’ll have a new opportunity to enjoy it. You’ll also be able to relive it if you think you missed some detail of the movie or, simply, if it’s a saga that you like. Now you can do a marathon and see them all in a row.

Now, what will be the price both in rental format and in purchase format?

  • In the case of digital rental (PVOD), the price will be 12.99 euros.
  • In the case of digital sales (PEST), the price is 16.99 euros.

Where can we see this new movie if it is not HBO Max?

It seems that Warner Bros 45 day rule This time it will not apply to The Matrix since it will not be released immediately on the platform, although we do hope that it will do so within a reasonable time. Meanwhile, we can see it on the following platforms under previous payment:

  • AppleTV
  • Rakuten-TV
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • google play
  • Vodafone
  • Movistar+
  • Orange TV
  • Youtube
  • microsoft

So point out these platforms and decide which of them you will invest the money in (either 12.99 euros or 16.99 euros) to see ‘Matrix Resurrections‘, the film that reunites the original stars (Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss) in the lead roles of Neo and Trinity. Additionally, the film also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Telma Hopkins, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Lana Wachowski is directing the film from a script by Wachowski & David Mitchell & Aleksander Hemon.

As for the free premiere on HBO Max, we still don’t know when it will happen, but we assume that it won’t take long, just as they have already managed to do in other countries.
