Western Digital has announced the launch of new products from its SanDisk and SanDisk Professional brands within the framework of the IBC 2023 event. The company thus expands its ecosystem of professional digital content storage solutions for the broadcasting industry, media and entertainment.
The innovations from the storage giant include two external solutions based on hard drives and a high-performance memory card, which offer the level of quality and security of professionals in the sector for production-level video workflows, while continuing to side the performance and premium design.
SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE PROJECT
This external drive It is especially focused on creators and allows you to transfer, edit and archive large volumes of content in a quick and easy workflow. It mounts Ultrastar series enterprise-class hard drives with 7200 RPM and a read/write speed of 260 MB/s.
For connection, use an interface Thunderbolt 3 high performance and scalability, and supporting daisy-chaining of up to five devices to create various digital content creation workflows. It is also compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 2.

SanDisk Professional already has in its catalog some of the best memory card and reader solutions for the professional market and now announces another high-performance one, dedicated especially to professional video makers thanks to the possibility of recording video in 8K resolution and work without dropping frames.
Their minimum sustained writing speeds are very high and reach 1400 MBytes per second. It is compatible with PRO-READER and PRO-DOCK 4 readers, for scalable and simultaneous downloads that help maximize productivity. The card will be available next fall in the WD online store or in the retail channel in storage capacities of 320 or 640 Gbytes from 462 euros.
