Better Call Saulthe spin off of breaking badhas finally reached its final chapter this week. The lawyer series, created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, has closed after seven long years in which we have been able to see what happened before and also what happened after a certain Heisenberg broke into New Mexico with blue methamphetamine. Many fans from all over the world have wanted to make their own tributes to say goodbye to the seriesbut few are as original as this fake game boy game which we are going to show you in this article.
Better Call Saula series that equals and even surpasses breaking bad
It started out as just another series of universe breaking bad in which it seemed like they would dig a little deeper into that obnoxious corrupt lawyer who services Walter and Jesse. Its first seasons were slow, but over time, the series has solved practically all the doubts we had about what Albuquerque was like before the chemistry teacher left the classroom and began his criminal career. And all with a cinematic style and a level of detail and references that have left us amazed episode after episode.
A tribute to the height of the series
The youtuber Lumpy-Touch wanted to say goodbye to Better Call Saul in a very original way. On his channel, this creator usually does pixel art style animationsand Gilligan’s work has not escaped this time.
Lumpy Touch has devised what would be a 90s video game based on Better Call Saul. A kind of compendium of minigames about some of the most iconic moments of the series. In recreation, the game would allow you to choose one of the three characters plot highlights: Jimmy (or Saul, depending on when you catch him), kim either Mike.
Choosing Jimmy, the game shows a cutscene of Chuck reminding our protagonist that he will always be “Slippin’ Jimmy.” In its day, that sequence didn’t seem to matter that much. However, we all have his words engraved in our heads after the events that have happened in this last season.
After his brother’s anger, the game shows Jimmy through the desert in Super Mario style with the money bags of the cartel, as we saw in the episode bagman. Another great iconic moment of the series, because if we analyze well what its creator wanted to tell us, Jimmy’s spirit stayed there forever and it was just that adventure that culminated in the transformation into Saul. And, to add insult to injury, the protagonist’s mode ends with his fight in the ring with Howardanother key moment of the last season – when we were still very innocent and we did not imagine what Vince Gilligan had written after that chapter.
Mike, for his part, also has his little minigame. A kind of shooter Arcadian with sniper representing the day he made the biggest mistake of his life. The scene that it emulates could be seen in the ninth episode of the first season. The Salamanca ice cream truck would end up involving Mike in one of the largest criminal organizations in New Mexico.
Of course, we have been wanting to see some animation related to the character of kim wexler. Hopefully Lumpy Touch gets enough encouragement to make a second part of the video.
