What do the new NVIDIA GeForce 512.15 Game Ready drivers bring?

NVIDIA has just released new drivers for its PC graphics cards, specifically the GeForce 512.15 Game Ready. Which, as usual, add optimized profiles for the new PC video games, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Shadow Warrior 3. As well as the solution to problems caused in previous drivers with the different applications. Let’s see, therefore, what new features this update brings.

As usual, the new NVIDIA graphics drivers bring Game Ready profiles that allow the latest developments to not only work more optimally, but also have the ability to take advantage of the exclusive technologies of RTX graphics cards. In the case of the new GeForce 512.15 Game Ready drivers there are several new features.

GeForce 512.15 GameReady

Starting with the topic of games, we have, on the one hand, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Shadow Warrior 3. In both games, support for DLSS has been added, which doubles your frame rate with graphics using ray traced reflections. In addition, they have added support for DLAA for:

  • Chorus.
  • jurassic world evolution 2
  • No Man’s Sky.

These are not the only novelties in terms of improving performance in games, since they have also been added optimal GeForce Experience profiles for various games:

  • Elden Ring.
  • Expeditions: Rome.
  • Deadly Online 2.
  • Shadow Warrior 3.
  • Sifu.
  • Total War: Warhammer III.

All of them have recently appeared in the PC gaming market.

Issues Fixed by NVIDIA GeForce 512.15 Game Ready Drivers

How we are used to it, NVIDIA has expanded the list of monitors with G-SYNC support In the new drivers, there are a total of 11 models from different brands, but at the moment we do not know which ones they are specifically.

Finally, and as is common with every new driver update, the following issues have been fixed in the NVIDIA GeForce 512.15 Game Ready drivers. Which are the following:

  • The issue with brightness levels in Advanced Optimus when HDR was disabled is gone.
  • Decreased the number of reads to register in the DWM.exe file, which was the source of several problems with G-SYNC and G-SYNC Compatible monitors.
  • If you have an RTX 30 for laptops when using NVIDIA Advanced Mode, if we put the computer to sleep when it woke up, it could restart if the graphics card was active and not the integrated one. That problem has been fixed.
  • The native resolution of monitors with DVI or HDMI input could not be displayed if they had an invalid EDID.
  • Fixed Optimus profile for Adobe Substance/Sampler.
  • In Enscape shadow generation no longer occurs incorrectly.
  • In SolidWorks, if the application was in the background, the memory speed of the graphics card was reduced to a minimum. With the new driver this no longer happens.
  • In Adobe Premiere the application was crashing due to memory errors when encoding multiple R3D files at 8K resolution.
  • In Foundry Nuke, both CUDA and OpenGL kernels returned incorrect results.

From what you can see they are specific problems, however, the water problem with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed continues after years, but this is not NVIDIA’s fault. Although more worrying is a problem not yet resolved in its GeForce 512.15 Game Ready drivers and that is that if we connect the graphics card to an AV receiver with HDMI 2.1 input we can lose the sound if we use Dolby Atmos.
