What happened to Scarlet Witch after the end of Doctor Strange 2?

[Ojo SPOILERS] The second Sorcerer Supreme movie left us with many unanswered questions, ranging from what will happen to earth 838 now that the illuminati have been killed brutally, even what that third eye that appears to Strange after reading the Darkhold means. Or, most important of all, is the Scarlet Witch really dead? Well, it seems that producer Richie Palmer has given us the key to answer this last question.

a diamond in the rough

Inside Marvel Studios, Richie Palmer is responsible for the vast majority of movies and series within the cinematographic universe, so we assume that he is someone who knows the ins and outs of planning everything we will see in the near future. This is why we trusted him a lot after what he said about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswhen he stated that “if Strange is the anchor of phase 4, Wanda is the jewel in the crown”. Although there was little doubt that this character was still alive, it is nice to hear an official source roughly confirm this information.

That Strange is the anchor of this new phase 4 makes sense, since he is one of the few who today has had significant contact with the multiverse, along with Loki and Spider-Man. Therefore, Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and her immense power are one of the most important elements in what could become the next great saga within the UCM.

With the direction that phase 4 seems to be taking, with the whole multiverse thing, it seems like a logical decision to keep one of the heroines alive (or villains) most powerful in the entire Marvel universe. Let’s not forget that he is the only being in existence capable of using Chaos magic and creating at will.

A detail to keep in mind

An element that few have repaired at the end of the film directed by Sam Raimi is that just before the rocks of the Woondabor temple begin to fall we see a kind of red explosion, an effect very similar to another that we saw during the battle between Wanda and Agatha Harkness in the last chapter of the series WandaVision. Thanks to that clue we can guess that the character played by Elizabeth Olsen would have been able to teleport through, what a coincidence, a red explosion.

Also, this wouldn’t be the first time within Marvel movies that characters have escaped death. Loki, for example, saw the end of him in Thor to reveal to us later that he did not die.

Also, his return to the franchise could open the door to a future redemption. Although during the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness he was able to cold-bloodedly kill numerous Kamar Taj sorcerers and, more importantly, murder the Illuminati in surprisingly violent ways, something that seemed hardly the tradition of a Disney production.
