What premieres to watch this weekend on Netflix, HBO and Amazon

The dreaded question arrives about what to see this weekend and, as always, we are here to clear up your doubts with the most interesting proposals available in Netflix, HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video. If you don’t know very well what to give a chance to among all the premieres that have taken place this week on streaming platforms, take a look below.

What to watch on Netflix

The premiere of the week for the red N has taken place today with the arrival of the third season of Love, death + robots. The fantastic proposal of the content platform once again offers us a animation series with which to be entertained very easily and at any time, thanks to the auto-conclusive nature of its episodes (since these do not usually last more than 20 minutes, the shortest being only 7).

You will thus find 9 new chapters with which to reflect on various themes and set from very different perspectives that range from science fiction to drama and even comedy. Each episode is directed by someone different, which also helps to bring freshness to this series that is consumed in nothing.

What to watch on HBO Max

In this case we are going to propose a series that has already started on the HBO Max platform but that is beginning to have more and more relevance and that you could have overlooked. We refer to The Staircasean 8-episode miniseries -right now there are 4 available on HBO Max- about a real case: that of the mysterious death of the wife of writer Michael Peterson, who was accused of murdering her.

The most curious thing of all is that on Netflix you have the documentary of this notorious event, so that you can always start with the TV series on HBO and then take a tour of the competition’s service to compare how things are told from a point of view not so borrowed from the show.

What to watch on Amazon Prime Video

On the Amazon content platform we have a premiere that arrives precisely today at the catalogue. It is about Night Sky, in which we will meet Franklin and Irene York, a couple who many years ago discovered a mysterious camera buried in the backyard of their house and that inexplicably leads to a strange desert planet.

Starring JK Simmons and Sissy Spacek, both characters will try to hide their secret, but they will not avoid encountering problems and the appearance of a completely unknown person of undetermined origin. The trailer certainly leaves you wanting more.

Which release do you prefer? We for one will probably give Night Sky a try. The trailer has left us with a very good taste in our mouths, and JK Simmons is so good that it is a must see.
