The mobile version of Apex Legends is here soon, but not for everyone. Who will have access to the beta and when? We take stock.
This is good news for mobile gamers fond of battle royale. Indeed, a new title will soon overshadow the famous Fortnite and PUBG on this nomadic support, and it is obviously the great Apex Legends. Available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and recently Nintendo Switch consoles, the game will make its debut on mobiles in just a week… but not everywhere.
Apex Legends Mobile is coming! Starting next week, a limited regional launch for iOS + Android will be available in select countries.
Read our new FAQ for full details. For players in other regions, we’ll have more to share in the coming weeks.

On Twitter, Respawn Entertainment announces it, while attaching a link to an FAQ concerning the beta of the game. This should be available in a few days in certain countries, with a gradual roll-out from there. Is France one of the countries concerned? If not, when Apex Legends Mobile will it be available in our country? Answer below.
Not for now
For the moment, Respawn says that the regional beta launch concerns a handful of countries, mainly located in the southern hemisphere: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia. No European country in sight for the moment. The studio does not give a specific date as to whether further regional testing or the full international launch will be available.
However, the studio says: If you are in one of the countries participating in the test, pre-registration is now open. We continue to actively test the app around the world and can’t wait for more players to join us when it launches! So expect some bugs or optimization flaws during this preliminary phase.
A still incomplete version
Then, we notice that during the tests, the players will only have access to a certain part of the game, and therefore will not necessarily be able to play with their favorite character. Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic will be available.
In terms of support, iOS and Android devices will be supported, but the studio still publishes a list of specifications that will be most suitable for the gameplay and performance ofApex Legends Mobile. Of these, Respawn states that “ iOS devices with less than 2 GB of RAM and Android devices with less than 3 GB of RAM are not supported during regional testing. »
As for the specs, here they are in detail:
For Android:
- Android 8.1 or later
- Open GL 3.0 or higher
- 3 GB of free space
- At least 3 GB of RAM
- Screen size: N/L/XL
For iOS:
- iPhone 6S or later
- OS version: 10.0 or higher
- PROCESSOR: A9
- 3 GB of free space
- At least 2 GB of RAM
There will never be cross-play possible
Note that Respawn returns to a very important fact. Apex Legends Mobile is a title developed specifically for this platform, it is not a simple port or platform expansion of the main game. It will therefore never be compatible with the existing cross-play between consoles and PC.
