When does Obi-Wan Kenobi come out? Good news for the Star Wars TV series

After the announcement of the release date on Disney + of The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars fans are now eager to know when it comes out Obi-Wan Kenobi, the TV series that will see return Ewan McGregor as the beloved Jedi master.
As we know, the shooting of the show started last April and ended in September and, although there is no official information about the release date, it seems that the TV series will still debut in the catalog next spring.

When does Obi-Wan Kenobi’s TV series come out?

Jordan Maison, a fairly reliable insider, would have become aware of information according to which Obi-Wan Kenobi will be released in May 2022, even in advance of the first rumors that instead saw June as the month chosen by Disney + for the landing on the streaming platform !

The thing, after all, would not be so unlikely given that we are talking about the month of the year traditionally dedicated to Star Wars. And if Obi-Wan Kenobi’s TV series were to arrive on May 4th… well, what to say, chapeau!

What we know about the show, besides the full cast of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, is that this will be set 10 years later. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, going to cover the period in which Obi-Wan Kenobi watched over the son of Darth Vader (who in the series will be played again by Hayden Christensen), entrusted to him at the end of the prequel trilogy and conducted, as we know, on Tatooine.

The series is interpreted not only by the protagonist, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, also by Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell And Benny Safdie.

Deborah Chow (Better Call Saul, American Gods, The Mandalorian) will direct the series and also serve as showrunner, with Hossein Amini (Drive, McMafia) e Joby Harold (John Wick 3, Awake, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) to the script.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Chow, McGregor And Harold.

The series will be shot using the same scenography technology used by the creators of The Mandalorian.
