In this short, but intense preview of The House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, you can see a brief preview of what is to come. The series will tell the events that happened 200 years before everything seen in the series that precedes it, stories where again there will be all kinds of confrontations, betrayals, interests and more.
Who’s who in the first preview of The House of the Dragon
Guess who’s who in the first preview of The House of the Dragon It is not easy at all, unless you have closely followed the entire casting process and are up to date with who are the actors who are already confirmed for said prequel and their respective roles. So let’s check it out.
Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen
The role of Princess Rhaenryra Targaryen It will be interpreted by different actresses by showing different periods of his life, as young as in adulthood. So those who will bring it to life will be Milly Alcock and Emma D’arcy.
In the first image you can see Milly Alcock in that younger stage and in the second, the one just above these lines, Emma D’arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in adulthood.
The hand of the king
Rhys Ifans will be Otto Hightower, the hand of the king. A position that is not free from stares or criticism from those who also aspire to the iron throne.
King Viserys Targaryen
Paddy Considine will be the King Viserys Targaryen, eldest son of Prince Baelon Targaryen and dragon rider Balerion as well as King of the Seven Kingdoms between 103 and 129 AD
Prince Daemon Targaryen
Embodying the role of the prince Daemon targaryen there will be Matt Smith, who many may already know from his role as Dr. Who or Prince Philip of Edinburgh in the hit The Crown from Netflix.
Also known as “The Sea Serpent” for his skills as a navigator, Corlys velaryon will be played by Steve Toussaint. So we already know who will be Daemin Velaryon’s grandson in this television adaptation of the events narrated by George RR Martin.
In this frame of the trailer you can see the arrival of the Velaryon to the throne room, from left to right we have:
- Vaemond Velaryon, John Williams
- Corlys Velaryon, played by Steve Toussain as we saw earlier
- Laenor Velaryon, who will also be played by two actors. On the one hand there will be John Macmillan in the adult part and on the other Theo Nate, who will give life to the younger version of the same
- Rahenys Velaryon, who will play Eve Best
- Laena Velaryon, played by Savannah Velaryon
Sonoya Mizuno will be the one who gives life to Mysaria, an actress that we have already seen in films such as Ex Machina, Annihilation or the enigmatic series Devs from HBO.
Emily Carey in the role of the young woman Alicent hightower and Olivia Cooke as an adult will be two of the actresses that we will also see in The House of the Dragon. In addition, as a curiosity, the dagger that Olivia Cook is holding in this frame is the one that years later Littlefinger would carry in Game of Thrones.

Along with all these that appear in the first preview of House of the Dragon we must add others that have also already been confirmed in the cast of the series.
