Windows 11 has received its first major update

The Redmond Giant has released a major update for Windows 11 which brings very interesting news. This update from the beginning of the year introduces some changes that had already been leaked thanks to the Insider channel, where the news that may later end up reaching, or not, the final version of said operating system is tested.

Our colleagues from MuyComputer have shared a fairly complete summary with all the keys that brings that update, and these are, in essence, the most important:

  • The Amazon AppStore comes to Windows 11, which will allow us to enjoy a huge number of applications designed for Android, although unfortunately this function has been limited, for the time being, to the United States. We also wanted to name it because it is one of the most important, and because it should also arrive in Spain soon.
  • Windows Media Player has been redesigned, and so has Notepad, the new designs better fit the look and feel of Windows 11, and represent a move in the right direction. Windows Media Player replaces the Groove Music app.
  • Taskbar changes and improvements, though more limited than expected, since not all the changes that we had previously seen in the Insider channel, and in preview, have been introduced. The improvements introduced by this update are minor, focusing on things like weather information and the introduction of a dedicated call control in Microsoft Teams.

On the other hand, we can also confirm other minor news, such as the possibility of showing a clock on the second screen (if we use more than one monitor), and other minor adjustments focused on stability and performance. microsoft has already started rolling out this Windows 11 update, So if it still doesn’t show up as available, it should be just a matter of time before you can install it.
