Windows 11 is not faster than Windows 10

For this, the software giant is introducing new improvements in the form of functions And thus trying to convince and attract new customers from earlier versions of Windows. A good part of these modifications refer to the user interface of the system, and to some of its main features. As it could not be otherwise, the company tries to convince its hundreds of millions of customers to carry out this migration as soon as possible.

In addition to all modifications and improvements related to the functionality and design of the new operating system, Microsoft also refers to the performance of the software. To give us an idea, at the event Architecture Day of 2021, when Intel shared the details of its architecture Alder Lake, the company claimed that Windows 11 had been optimized to take full advantage of it. This would basically translate into a significant increase in performance of the operating system compared to Windows 10.

And that’s not all, since, aside from that statement, Microsoft also said that Windows 11 was designed to make the most of the hardware available on the PC. Although this was not the case at first, these claims began to have some reason when Windows 11 was seen to catch up and keep up with Windows 10 in terms of performance. At least this began to glimpse in certain workloads.

Windows 11 performance is no better than Windows 10

It is true that there were cases in which Windows 11 was better, but it must be admitted that there were also many scenarios in which it was not. That is to say, Windows 10 was ahead on many occasions, largely denying the Microsoft claims.

It is evident that the software giant tries to convince potential Windows 11 users to migrate here due to its better performance. However, based on tests carried out in all types of environments and types of use, this statement is not as clear as it is initially claimed.

Based on different tests that have been carried out with specialized software such as cinebenchNero Score, Handbrake, or Crossmark Enterprise, among others, we can conclude that the performance is very even. In fact, when one of the two operating systems is placed above the other, the differences are minimal. In short, that Microsoft should stop selling the argument that Windows 11 is faster than Windows 10since that is not true.

Other reasons can be used to try to convince those who still refuse to migrate, but the overall performance of the PC when upgrading will not improve in most cases. In fact, we could say that in most cases the performance between both operating systems is quite balanced.
