Windows 11 welcomes a new update for Insiders. This brings improvements to the user interface, but also new voices for the narrator. These new features could be the first glimpse of the big fall 2022 update.
Members of Microsoft’s Insider Program can get a preview of the latest Windows 11 features and get the hang of it before the mainstream launch. The latest proposed update brings some UI and narrator improvements.
This update is for Insiders only subscribed to the dev channel, so the channel that benefits from new features the earliest. This preview 22543 can be downloaded via Windows Update. These may well be the first full-scale tests of Windows 11 for its big fall 2022 update for the general public.
Windows 11 slightly revamps its interface
This update brings interface changes. Nothing that completely shakes up the visual, but small improvements and new animations. Here are the changes:
- An improved tool for resizing windows.
- The animations have been reworked and icons of the affected application appear when you place the windows.
- The media controls (little floating windows at the bottom right when listening to music) have been improved. Thus, the theme of the window will adapt to that of your OS on the lock screen.
- A new design for the progress ring (which appears when you install updates)
- The menus that concern storage volumes have the right to a new design that displays all the information quickly
In addition to these new features, this update introduces new narrators in Windows 11. Thus the user can choose between several voices to guide him. However, this improvement is for the moment only reserved for the English language.

To register for the Windows 11 Insider Program, just enable the option in Windows Update. For this latest update, the deployment is done in rotation, since for our part, we cannot yet download it while we meet all the conditions.
As a reminder, the next big improvement for Windows 11 will arrive very soon for the general public, since it is compatibility with Android applications. Deployment planned for the coming weeks.
