World’s End Harem (Shuumatsu no Harem), the anime based on the sci-fi sexy manga of the same name written by LINK and designed by Kotaro Shōno, has a new official release date.

After the postponement wanted by the production “carefully examine the making of the anime” which moved the debut date to the beginning of next year, we finally know that the episodes of the first season will resume on January 7, 2022.
We remember, in fact, that the first episode of World’s End Harem however, it already aired in October on Japanese TVs on the day scheduled for the first debut, even if the streaming transmission of this episode was also postponed to January.
Shuumatsu no Harem details, plot and trailer
Tokyo, year 2040. Reito Mizuhara, a boy who attends the state medical university suffering from multiple sclerosis, decides to go into cryogenic sleep in the hope of awakening when a cure has been found for his disease, exchanging with Erisa Tachibana – the girl of his dreams – the promise to reunite again.
Meanwhile, a lethal disease linked to the Man-Killer virus has practically decimated men, causing the death of 99.9% of the world’s male population.
When Reito awakens 5 years later from cryogenic sleep, he finds himself cured but in a new world obsessed with sex where he himself is the most precious resource on the planet. Reito and four other specimens of human males are granted a comfortable life immersed in luxury in the face of a simple mission: to repopulate the world by reproducing with as many women as possible!
However, what Reito really wants is to find his beloved Erisa, who disappeared three years ago. Will Reito be able to resist temptation and find his only true love considering that after awakening, in “his service”, he found Mira Suou, a girl who looks a lot like Erisa?
Yuu Nobuta (High School Fleet, Maesetsu! Opening Act, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) is directing the anime at Gokumi studio and AXsiZ. Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM @ STER Cinderella Girls, Domestic Girlfriend, Val x Love) is responsible for the scripts for the anime. Masaru Koseki (Happiness !, Demon King Daimao) is taking care of the character design of the characters while Shigenobu Ookawa (Tayutama – Kiss on My Deity, Miss Monochrome) is composing the music.
The original manga
The manga World’s End Harem, which in Italy is published by J-POP Manga, was launched in May 2016 on the website and app Shonen Jump +. The manga franchise has more than 5 million copies in circulation and, starting from last May 6, has resumed publication with the new title Shūmatsu no Harem: After World.
From the original manga, three spin-offs of a fantasy setting were born: Shuumatsu no Harem: Fantasy by LINK and SAVAN (2018), Shumatsu no Harem: Fanatasia Gakuen by Okada Ando (2020) e Shuumatsu no Harem: Britannia Lumiere by Kira Eto (2020).
