Xbox Game Pass: Rainbow Six Extraction and Hitman Trilogy coming January 2022

Microsoft announces the new games that will arrive during the second half of January 2022 on Xbox Game Pass. The number of novelties amounts to nine. Some will be accessible from the day of their commercial release, including Rainbow Six Extraction from Ubi Soft. Seven of its new ones will be available in local and cloud gaming. Finally, four games will depart on January 31.

Let’s briefly introduce these games, for those who don’t know them. Daganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition is a visual novel that alternates between investigation phases and the outcome during the trial. Nobody Saves the World is a zelda-like game full of western humor. Death’s Door, is an excellent, nervous action game that won a Game Award in 2021. No need to introduce the hitman trilogy and his agent 47. Pupperazi is a game where you have to take dog pictures as if you were a paparazzi.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is the latest installment in the Rainbow Six series from Ubi Soft. It’s an FPS, yes. But with a twist, since you fight aliens inspired by the Alien series. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege: Deluxe Edition is the most complete version of the tactical and cooperative FPS released six years ago. Windjammers 2 is the sequel to the famous competitive frisbee simulation of the 1990s. Finally, Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master is a typically Japanese rhythm game. This version is a port of a game already launched on Switch.

Five of the nine new games are available Day One on Xbox Game Pass

Of these nine games, five will be available “Day One”: Nobody Saves the World, Pupperazi, Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six Extraction, Windjammers 2 and Taiko no Tatsujin. Microsoft confirms once again its ambition to create a real “Netflix of video games”. It must be said that the firm gives itself the means: it has just bought Activision-Blizzard for 60 billion euros, the most expensive acquisition in its history.

Note that Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six Siege will only be available on PC, while Taiko no Tatsujin will only be playable on console and PC. All the others will come to console, PC, and the cloud. From January 31, four games leave the catalog. You can keep them if you want by buying them. As a Game Pass subscriber, you even get a small discount. Here is the departure list:
