When they launched last December, the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro did not come with any Ultra models, leaving fans of overpowered models on their hunger. We had also learned later that the manufacturer had removed all references to the smartphone in the source code of MIUI in favor of the MIX 5 and MIX 5 Pro, which suggested that the device had been abandoned.

However, Xiaomi officially confirmed the arrival of the smartphone a few weeks ago during an interview, reviving speculation about its technical characteristics. Today, the famous leaker Digital Chat Station released specific information regarding the size of its battery and the power of fast charging.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will benefit from a better battery than the Xiaomi 12 Pro

According to Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be equipped with a 4860 mAh battery, which is 260 mAh more than that of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. We can therefore expect the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to have better autonomy than the Pro model, which we are still waiting for the release in France. As a reminder, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra used a 5000 mAh battery, but used more energy-consuming components than the new generation. For example, we did not find LTPO 2.0 technologywhich allows the screen to vary its frequency depending on the content displayed.

Digital Chat Station also announces that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be compatible with 120 W wired fast charging, against only 67 W on the previous generation. However, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have to make do with fast 50W wireless charging, the new Chinese regulations imposing not to exceed this limit. However, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was entitled to 67 W wireless fast charging, which also allowed the smartphone to be charged as quickly as wired fast charging.
