Xiaomi has just launched a new connected watch in France, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. It replaces the Mi Watch Lite of 2020, which offered quite similar technical characteristics.
The Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a 360 x 320 pixel LCD touch screen measuring 1.55 inch. It is powered by a 262 mAh battery, and offers a plastic structure and a proprietary operating system. It can track your heart rate, your steps, your blood oxygen level, like most other bracelets from the manufacturer like the Mi Band 6 or the Redmi Smart Band Pro.
You have more than 100 sports modes, a GPS (with Galileo, GLONASS and BDS), a 10-day battery life and a water resistance of 5 ATM. You can therefore wear it in the rain, in the shower and even swim with it in a pool. The personalization is quite interesting, since you will find more than 100 different dials. The Redmi Watch Lite 2 is a direct successor to the Mi Watch Lite which was released around the same time last year, even though it was part of Xiaomi’s watch line. It is marketed at the same price of 69.99 euros on Amazon and the official site of Xiaomi. It seems that the manufacturer now wants to reserve its main brand for more high-end watches, like the classic Mi Watch.

The Redmi Smart Band Pro offers more value for money
Xiaomi unveiled its new Redmi Smart Band Pro bracelet a few weeks ago in France, and it seems to offer better value for money than the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. Indeed, the Redmi Smart Band Pro offers a 1.47 inch AMOLED screen, more 110 sports modes, and the same sensors as the watch mentioned above. Indeed, it is also able to measure your heart rate, the level of oxygen in the blood (SPO2), the quality of sleep, the level of stress and even offers deep breathing exercises.
Autonomy is also more interesting, since it can hold 14 days on a single charge, and 20 days in Energy Saving mode. The water resistant bracelet with a resistance of 5 ATM, just like the Redmi Watch 2 Lite.
Despite the presence of a better AMOLED screen, the Redmi Smart Band Pro is displayed at a lower price of 49.99 euros on Amazon and mi.com. Its price is even reduced to 39.99 euros for the launch until the end of December 2021.
