Xiaomi Pad Pro is a new 2 in 1 from the Chinese firm. Its marketing after the announcement of the Mix Fold 2 foldable and the Redmi K50 Ultra is a sign that beyond Xiaomi phones it does not forget the tablet market.
Xiaomi Pad Pro is a model with an LCD screen of 12.4 inches diagonally, a resolution 2K for 2560 x 1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 500 nits with HDR10 support. The manufacturer sees it as a 2 in 1 and for this it adds a detachable keyboard and a pressure-sensitive stylus as an option.
Its aluminum chassis is extremely thin, only 6.66mm for a weight of 620g, and inside it houses a chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and at least 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Xiaomi sells the model with configurations of up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of capacity.
The tablet has a good capacity battery, 10,000 mAh with support for fast charging of 67 watts. It has a 20MP front camera and a dual sensor rear camera, a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port for charging and data, which can be connected to an external monitor via Display Port. Its wireless connectivity has been updated with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 and for the sound section it has stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos.
The stylus offered by the manufacturer for this tablet supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and 240Hz touch sampling, it has a built-in battery that lasts up to 8 hours of continuous use and supports fast charging. The stylus is stored on the side of the tablet via a magnetic connection. As for the keyboard that allows the tablet to be converted into a basic laptop and is also offered as an optional sale, it has 64 keys with 1.3mm travel and a kickstand that can adjust the angle of the tablet between 110° and 122°.

Xiaomi preinstalls Android 12 with its own MIUI 13 user interface and offers three color finishes in the following configurations depending on the memory and storage included:
- 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB for storage: $445.
- 8 GB of RAM + 256 GB for storage: 520 dollars.
- 12 GB of RAM + 512 GB for storage: 625 dollars.
Xiaomi sells the stylus pen and detachable keyboard case separately. It should be available in the coming weeks in international markets as one more alternative in the premium mid-range of Android tablets.
