Rumors claim that Xiaomi should present the Redmi 11 5G in June 2022. But before being official, the future entry-level star was leaked, revealing a large part of its technical characteristics. And it is clear that the smartphone will offer a fairly high value for money since it should be sold below 170 euros.
Xiaomi has already covered the budget smartphone market extensively this year. First with the entire Redmi Note 11 range which consists of around fifteen models, two of which have been tested in our columns: the Redmi Note 11 and the Redmi Note 11 Pro. But you will also find the Redmi Note 11 Pro+, the Redmi Note 11S, the Redmi Note 11E, the Redmi Note 11SE, not to mention the very recent Redmi Note 11T (11T 5G, 11T Pro, 11T Pro+). Suffice to say that there are people.

Traditionally, under the Redmi Notes, you find the standard Redmi. In France, this range is rather wise, since no new model has been launched since 2021. But in India and China, some models from last year have been refreshed in order to furnish. Thus were presented the Redmi 10 2022, Redmi 10 5G, Redmi 10C and another Redmi 10A. Europe will wait for the arrival of a real successor to the Redmi 10 which will be called, logically, the Redmi 11 5G. Quite simply.
The Redmi 11 5G would have a 90 Hz Full HD screen and a 50 MP photo sensor
What will the Redmi 11 5G offer? A leak from India reveals the main lines: the screen, the processor, the memory, the battery and the photographic equipment. The screen would measure 6.58 inches, a size smaller than that of the Redmi Note 11 Pro, but larger than that of the Redmi Note 11. This is not trivial. The panel would be IPS and Full HD+. Its refresh rate would reach 90 Hz. The processor would be a Size 700 from MediaTek, a component seen and reviewed over the past 18 months.
It would be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. They would be expandable by microSDXC. On the photo side, the Redmi 11 5G would be equipped with several photo sensors including one of 50 megapixels as the main device and 2 megapixels for macros or calculating distances. the selfie sensor would be a 5 megapixel model. And the battery would offer a capacity of 5000mAh with quick charge 18 watt. The set would be sold in India at a price equivalent to 167 euros (the Redmi 10 is sold for 180 euros today).
Note that it is not impossible that Xiaomi presents a Redmi 11 without 5G connectivity. Xiaomi is one of those brands that choose to offer 4G terminals only, with tighter prices or beefier technical sheets. We are thinking of the Oppo Reno7 or the Realme 9, the latter being better equipped in the 4G version than in the 5G version. You will soon find a test of these two phones in our columns.
